Student Success Stament

Student Success Stament

"Diciplining yourself to do what you know is right and important, although difficult, is the highroad to pride, self-esteem, and personal satisfation."
-Margaret Thatcher

The stament is correct because most successful people who are not looking over there shoulder, are successful because the choossed to go to school and study and do whats right. In the other hand, most home-less people choosed the wrong and ended up in the streets and dont have a penny to eat or enjoy and why, just because the choose the wrong.

Balancing High School and Part-Time Work Part 3

Balancing High School and Part-Time Work
Part 3
Brad MacGowan of the Career Center at Newton North High School in Massachusetts thinks that working can be a valuable part of a student’s life, if taken on responsibly. “You can derive a great deal from working, considerably more than just money,” he says. “In most cases, you can acquire a nice dose of discipline and a whole new set of skills and experiences. “In addition, your supervisor may be willing to write a strong college recommendation for you.
School Come First
Schoolwork, including homework and studying for test, should always be your top priority. MacGowan cautions students who do decide to work, “If you are rushing through your assignments… or not studying enough for test because of work, it’s time to cut back or quit and find less time-consuming job.”

"What you are will show in what you do"
-Thomas A. Edison

Edison is correct in this stament, as he is one of the most important persons int eh revolution in technology. For example if a thift is trusted into the a jewlery store, the next day, the jewls would be gone. The thieft should not be truested near the jewlery because of his dark past. And thats why a person who choosed the dark path of the ctw, chooseign the wrong, skiping class just to impress everyone or doing drugs. And thats why you should always choose the right.

Balancing High School and Part-Time Work Part 2

Balancing High School and Part-Time Work
Part 2
Voicing your goals to someone else can help you make decisions and figure out your priorities. It can also help you judge whether you can do both – work and – study – successfully. To help answer this question, ask yourself:
·         Am I an organized person?
·         What kind of study habit do I have?
·         Do I make good use of my available time?
·         Will I be able to manage my schedule effectively if I take on a part – time job?
Think about the pros and cons of working. On the plus side, a job can teach you about commitment, time management and responsibilities –and, of course, handling money. On the minus side, a job can cut into the time you have for sleeping, studying and socializing

Balancing High School and Part-Time Work Part 1

Balancing High School and Part-Time Work
Part 1

Like many high school students, you may want –or need –to work part time. Working take a lot of time and energy, though, so before getting a job, make sure that you think about your ability to handle both work and you education.
Important Considerations
You have to weight a number of factors when deciding whether to take on a part-time job. It’s important to get as much information as possible, so you can figure out what choice make the most sense for you.
Schedule a meeting with your school counselor to discuss the idea of working. Talk to your counselor about why you want to work and what type of position you’re seeking.

"If it's not right, don't do it; if it's not true, don't say it"
-Macus Aurelius

Roman Emperor from 161AD to 180AD

The stament is true because the lies hurt the people you love the most and may take some time to heal. For example, if a drug user does'nt tell his parent about is problem right away. Then later on, the pain may be worser, the son may become a drug addict.
