Part 3

After Class
As soon as class ends, review your notes and fill in any blanks. Underline, highlight and use symbols to sort through the information. If you don’t understand something, get help from you teacher or classmates.
After you’ve reviewed all your notes from class, in the left-hand area of the page write down key words and questions you teacher might ask on a test.
At the bottom of each page, write a summary of the notes. This helps you digest what you’ve learned. It also improves your memory of the materials for the long term and test down the road.

"He listen well who takes note."
-Dante Alighieri

The stament that Dante Alighieri said is a little confusing but correct. Because only those who take notes will understand. And it's not just note taking that matters, but actiually studing the notes because if, (for example) I have all the note, but dont study, then it will just end up being as if I didnt take them at all.

During Class
One approach that has been proven effective is called the Cornell Note-Taking System. Here are some of its methods.
Start by using the main section of your page to take down your notes during class. Be sure to leave space on the left side of the page and the bottom. Things keep in mind:
1.       Get the speaker’s main points. Don’t write down every word you hear.
2.       Leave blanks in your notes to add explanations later.
3.       Organize as you write. Pay attention to cues such as repetition and emphasis.
4.       Indicate main and supporting points as you go.
5.       Jot down key vocabulary, important facts and formulas.
6.       Ask questions. If you’re confused, it’s better to ask while the material is fresh in your mind.

"When you believe you can-you can."
-Dr. Maxwell Maltz

The stament that the doctor made was correct because self-inspiration is more powerful than any other thing. For example, the buddist believe in someone who believed in himself and others. Even when the odds are agenst you, dont give up, believe in yourself to make a change. A personal example would be me trying out for the football team, why didnt I just give up when everyone is taller or better than me, becausse I belive iu could be as good as my team mates or even better because ever day after school, I go out there and give it my best.

How to Get Your Class Notes Into Shape
Getting the most out of high school and college means studying hard and using your time in class wisely. An effective note-taking strategy can help you do both. Here are the basics.
Stay organized
It may seem obvious, but your class notes can only help you if you can find them. When you’re taking notes are sure to:
·         Keep all your notes in one place.
·         Date and number pages: keeping them in order makes it easier to understand them later.

Before class
Review the material assigned for that class period thoroughly. Bring a list of any questions you may have.

"Tell me what is right and I will fight for it"
-Woodrow Wilson

The statement that Wilson stated is correct because if you belive in somethin, then stay beside it and fight for it, protect it. For example, if you love music class and the school has a budget cut that affects the music class, the do fun raisers and everything possible for a student so the music class wont disapear.
