When you double-check your calculation for a math problem or cite source carefully in a research paper, you’re paying close attention to detail. That skill comes in handy in any workplace, whether you maintain a database, keep a log of the hours you spend with clients or write e-mails.

John Wooden, UCLA’s former great basketball coach who lead his team to ten consecutive national championships, was asked what he attributed his success to. Among a number of things, he mentioned that paying attention to details was one of the most important qualities for successful coaching and for high achievement in any worthwhile pursuits. He even paid attention to how his players would lace up and tie their shoes strings. If they didn't tie them correctly, he would teach them how.

Detail may be small things, but from small things come great things; therefor, pay attention to detail and you will experience substantial progress in your overall education attainments

This rule is even more important  in life than in basketball. You have to apply yourself each day to become a little better. by applying yourself to the task of becoming a little better each and every day over a period if time, you will become a lot better. Only then will you be able to approach being the best you can be. it begins by trying to make each day count and knowing you can never make up for a lost day."

The coach is correct because, a person can change drastically in time for a good objective and if they have there mind into it. For example, myself, before I use to be a drug user, disobedient child and a total little prick. But I change for good, now I am starting to get good grades, better character in my self and respect for my elders, and i change because of a single person.

The statement that couch wooden is correct because no one like a person who only makes excuses or complains about everything and whining is just the worst. For example, if a  player has to be at a game but makes a lame excuse like, I'm sick, then he just needs to be kicked of the team. Or if he complains about every single detail in the world, the only people in the world who can complain are pregnant women. Oh and the whining, pleas for the love of god don't do it in public, do it at you own time.

The statement that the best self proclaim best coach did is actually some how correct, because a lie can start little and may grow and grow until it becomes a lie big enough to cause a lot of trouble. If you cheat, sooner or later the truth is going to come out, and the only affected is going to be you. Stealing may not seem so bad but if anything that life has thought me, is to never ever mess with karma, what comes around goes around
